EMD Chemicals recently introduced Eusolex UV-Pearls B-O, a new version of encapsulated avobenzone for the water phase. Formed with a unique micro-encapsulation system that entraps the organic UV filters and provides aqueous dispersions of oil-soluble UV filters, Eusolex UV-Pearls B-O reduces the usual tackiness contributed by oily UV filters and allows formulators to develop more elegant formulations, according to the company.

To achieve this result, avobenzone (butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) is solubilized with octocrylene in Eusolex UV-Pearls B-O in an ideal ratio in order to prevent the avobenzone from crystallizing, according to the company.

Silab Rolls Out New Products

Silab’s latest ingredient is P-Refinyl, a long-lasting biological treatment for finer pores, according to the company.
